Wow! Such a rich and diverse collection! I would love, love, love to see this collection up close! I'd love to touch the fabrics and most of all I'd love to wear every single look!

Embroideries and pinstripes, bold colorful stripes and pinstripes, the color palette, the layering, the loose but very feminine cuts, the feathers.... I love it all and if I had the budget..... I'd get this whole collection, yes the whole big collection! And well.... I know, Paris Fashion Week is not over yet.... but this collection might actually become my favorite from Paris!

What about you? What do you think about that collection? I'd love to hear!

Marni Fall 2013

via: style.com

How new is this mostly monochromatic vibe at Marni? I love the contrast of the quite strict cuts and the softness of the fur! Somehow the theme of combining masculine and feminine seams to be the theme of the moment.

What about you? Did you like the Marni collection? Or do you miss the typical Marni prints? And what do you think about the fur? There was a lot of fur in the latest collections!

Etro Fall 2013

via: style.com

I love the new tough vibe from Etro! "Armor not Amore!" This summs it up pretty good.

Some reviews were not over the top, but I love the new direction Veronica took. I'm no fashion expert, only a "Fashion Lover" and I'm pretty sure Suzy Menkes would not approve about a doctor writing about fashion, but hey, I'm just doing this for fun, I love to browse through the newest collections and admire their beauty! And writing this blog is so relaxing for me, writing about such beautiful things as fashion is just so much fun and I prefer to do that to unwind, others watch TV, I blog.

How about you? Did you like the new Etro collection? What do you think about it? Do you like the new vibe?

Have a grate Sunday everyone!

Edit: I actually think that Suzy Menkes is right in many of the points she talks about in her article "The Circus of Fashion".  We are living in a quite narcissistic time and I can imagine, that many people don't really dress for them self anymore. "The peacock Syndrom" goes around and for many it's all about them self and not about fashion and style anymore, they just want to get snapped by Street Style Photographers. But as always there are also other folks and thanks to some Photographers like Scott Schuman or Garance DorĂ© and others we still get to see the real people and not only peacocks and I'm glad about that! Also Tamu from all the pretty birds is a favorite of mine, and I really don't agree that she's one of those peacocks. You can see my favorite blogs in the blogroll and I love all these blogs for different things.

I think it's a good thing, that Suzy Menkes wrote this article, a discussion about something is always good. I think blogging plays such an important role today, because people want to connect with other people and not just glossy magazine pages and anonymous editorials. People want to connect with people and even though it's a quite anonymous place too, that internet, at least it's a two way communication and that's the big pro for blogs.

Marni Perfume

Marni

Scarf by Marni, Necklace, Heels, Clutch all by Marni, Sunglasses Illesteva, Aiden Boyfriend Jeans by Jbrand, Marni Perfume

Has anyone already tried the new Marni perfume? I'd love to hear your opinion!

I didn't, but I'm posting about it anyway, because somehow I have the feeling, that I will love this perfume, cause I'm a little Marni fan since a while. I will try it as soon as I can and I will let you know what I think about it.

I would wrap the scarf around my bun, I'm all about that for spring!

Here is what Consuelo Castiglioni has said about the new perfume: "The perfume reflects Marni’s fashion, certainly. Because it’s a perfume that’s quite individual, that doesn’t evoke anything in particular. It’s for a woman who dresses for herself, who doesn’t follow trends but is sophisticated and also maybe a little eccentric."

Tom Ford Fall 2013

Via: style.com

Wow! I think this whole collection is a statement..... "I'm doing it my way!" Understatement was yesterday! I don't know if I would be brave enough to wear those looks, but I definitely love to look at them, the richness of color, embroidery and details are breathtaking and I'm almost sure that we will see Anna Dello Russo during next fashion week wearing Tom Ford. She's the strong powerful woman that can rock almost any outfit and this collection from Tom Ford might definitely be a "fashion shower" worth trying!

You can see the whole collection here.

What about you? Do you like the collection? Or is it too much for you?

Have you seen the handbags from Marc by Marc Jacobs for fall 2013? I think they are so perfect! Inspired by hat boxes and doctor bags. I not only love the structured shape, but also the colors! I definitely want one of these bags, but I think I will have a hard time to decide.....

You can see the whole collection here.

I might go for the little green one.... or maybe red?...... or one of the doctor bags?........

What about you? Do you like the bags? Which one is your favorite?

Stella McCartney Suit

Stella McCartney Suit

Stella McCartney Iris wool-twill Blazer, Jasmin wool-twill wide leg pants, Helmut Lang asymmetric modal bra top, Illesteva sunglasse, Sophie Hulme clutch, Alexander Wang Mackenzie boots, Gucci leather Cuff, Byredo Blanche, Tom Ford True Coral Lipstick

A Stella Suit is an other classic I'd like to add so my wardrobe, well.... at the moment it's quite out of my budget, but a woman should dream right? I would definitely go for the navy version, I love navy, it's such a clever color, you can combine it with almost everything.

The suit is having a big moment anyway and I love the fact, cause I'm actually more comfortable wearing a suit than a little black dress.

Alexander Wang really makes fantastic shoes! The cut out boots from his Spring collection are amazing!

How about you? Are you a "Suit girl" or a "Little Black Dress Girl" ?

Diane von Furstenberg Wrap Dress

Diane von Furstenberg Wrap Dress

Diane von Furstenberg Wrap Dress, Wrangler Denim Jacket, Acne Araceli Suede Ankle Boots (on sale)Navy 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel, Cynthia Rowley Scarf, Maison Martin Margiela Bracelet, Acne Sunglasses, Ortigia Sicilia, Tom Ford Lipstick In True Coral

We watched a real classic the other night, "Taxi Driver" with the very young Robert de Niro. There was also Cybill Shepherd in this fantastic wrap dress with a print to dye for! I'm pretty sure the dress was from Diane von Furstenberg, who else would have done the perfect wrap dress then.... So I got inspired and here you have a collage including a DVF wrap dress, her iconic wrap dress. I think I really want one for summer! So chic, quite lady like, but when you pair it with a cool denim jacket and in summer maybe some simple sandals and a scarf wrapped around a bun, you can dress it down a little bit.

What about you, do you like the wrap dresses by DVF?

Red Wide Leg Pants by Diane von Furstenberg

perfect slouchy red pants, Diane Von Furstenberg

Via: Karla's Closet

I got these perfect slouchy trousers from Diane von Furstenberg here.

They are really perfect! Can't wait for spring to finally wear them with a cropped top like Karla or with a slim fitted short cut blazer like this one. I must wear my really highest shoes though, I'm quite petite, but with high heels they are just right.

Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2013

Via: style.com

Wow! I love these strong colors, so refreshing, reflection of "The Joy of living!"

The Diane von Furstenberg woman is self confident and seductive, a power woman, I love that!

And she is a happy woman..... While browsing trough this collection I suddenly realized that many of the models are actually smiling. Not many model smile while walking down the runway, but I found it so very appropriate that the model were smiling, this collection really reflects happiness!

My absolute favorite look of this collection is the pink suit with the red print shirt. See the whole collection here.

Layering

Via: style.com

Top left: The Row, Top right: BCBG Max Azria
Bottom left: Altuzarra, Bottom right: Suno

Layering is definitely one of the trends for fall 2013. I love the idea of wearing slim pants under a dress or skirt. Actually I've done this quite often some years ago, so I'm quite happy to see a comeback of this style. I think it's just very important to wear the right length and cut of both, pants and skirt/dress. I particularly love these four looks by The Row, BCBG Max Azria, Altuzarra and Suno.

What about you? Do you like the idea of wearing pants under a skirt or dress?
